Eric Yarrington, PT, DPT, CF-L2 – Center Director

Dr. Yarrington received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida and Master’s of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2009 from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Yarrington is a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. One-on-one, personalized care is the cornerstone of effective treatment and Dr. Yarrington believes in forming a strong working partnership with patients to help them improve their quality of life.


Shannon Yarrington, CF-L2 – Head Trainer

Shannon is a former competitive gymnast and avid CrossFitter. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Carolina University. She has advanced training from USA Weightlifting, is certified to teach CrossFit Kids, and is the head coach for our SpinalFit for Seniors program. Shannon LOVES coaching and helping people (young and old) realize their potential. She believes in training for longevity, to improve your quality of life, and to help you keep active throughout your lifespan.


Catherine Saccoccio, PT, MPT – Staff Physical Therapist

Catherine received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee and her Master’s of Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University. She has worked in outpatient orthopedic settings in NC, MA, and RI since graduating in 2010. Catherine’s clinical interests include sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation, biomechanics and manual therapy. She believes it is important to spend one-on-one time with each patient to develop individualized treatment plans. Outside of work Catherine enjoys spending time with her family, and outdoor activities including hiking, biking and skiing.


Marta Kruglova, PTA – Staff Physical Therapist Assistant

Marta received her A.A.S. from Southwestern Community College in Sylva, NC. She loves helping patients overcome obstacles and is committed to keeping herself current with the most up to date, evidence-based therapy techniques. While earning her degree in A.A.S in Haywood Community College in Clyde, she showed great interest in human anatomy, science and movement and this led her to pursue her Physical Therapist Assistant degree at SWCC. Marta is very interested in manual therapy, balance training, and sports rehabilitation. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga and outdoor activities like mountain biking, running, hiking, and snowboarding.


Danielle Smith – Practice Manager

Danielle Smith has been with the Yarrington Physical Therapy practice since 2008. A consummate professional, she handles all billing, scheduling, managing and daily oversight of the practice and its work flow. Her positive attitude and spirit not only make our patients feel comfortable during their visits, but she ensures that their visits and necessary paperwork are seamlessly processed. She treats everyone who walks through the door like they are a member of the family.

Sam Sinyard, CF-L1 – Trainer

Coach Sam has been involved with CrossFit 2311 since June of 2013 and earned his CrossFit Level I in July of 2014. He was a competitive triathlete and nationally ranked swimmer growing up. Sam graduated from Tuscola High School in 2012 where he participated in basketball and track. He is currently a student at Western Carolina University. Sam is very active in local CrossFit competitions and hopes to one day make the CrossFit Regionals. In addition to coaching CrossFit classes, Sam leads our competitive CrossFit program.


Chelsea Williams, RDN – Nutrition Coach

Chelsea Williams has spent most of her life playing competitive soccer, practicing the art of Gracie Jiu jitsu, and having an avid interest in nutrition and wellness. Chelsea received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida in 2011 and moved to the beautiful mountains of WNC later that year.
After working locally as a Clinical Allergy Specialist, Chelsea decided to pursue her interest in nutrition and graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. Chelsea is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and currently is completing her Master’s in Health Science from Western Carolina University.
Chelsea not only fell in love with the mountains and community of WNC, but also with her husband, Kevin. Together they are raising their son Rowen and could not think of a better place to call home.

S Gold, CF-L1 – Trainer

S comes to us with a background in Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting. For the past three years, S has trained in these sports under the guidance of experienced coaches at Strength Ratio in Asheville, NC. S has over a decade of athletic experience, playing a number of competitive sports for high school, college, and recreational teams. S believes that fitness is for every body, and is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space for everyone, no matter where they are in their individual fitness journey. S believes that increasing mobility and physical strength helps to build confidence and capacity both inside and outside of the gym environment. As a coach, S recognizes the importance of differentiation and strives to work with each athlete to pursue and reach their personal training goals. Outside of coaching at 2311, S is pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology from Western Carolina University studying the microbial ecology of deep-sea corals. Prior to returning to school, S was a middle and high school science teacher for almost a decade. Beyond training, coaching, teaching, and research, S enjoys playing music, hiking, birding, and single-handedly keeping local coffee shops in business.
